A Principal Data Platform Architect provides strategic vision and leadership in the overall design of our enterprise data platform. This role will report to the Chief Data Officer and this highly consequential role will be responsible for executing our data strategy by way of the development and implementation of an enterprise data architecture that is in line with business processes.
The Principal Data Platform Architect will focus on the design and architecture of an enterprise data platform that enables the processing, governance, and utilization of clinical and operational data assets to drive the execution of analytical endeavors across all of Children's Mercy. The architecture of our Data Platform includes, but is not limited to, ingestion, environment configuration, data modeling, and the enablement of advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.
Through collaboration and partnership with other Data and Technology leaders and team members, the Principal Data Platform Architect will serve as an expert in the translation of business strategy into technology-based solutions. This role will be called upon to engage with hospital leadership to evangelize the overall vision for data at CMH, enabling an informed adherence to our data & technology strategy in the never-ending pursuit of data-driven insights and solutions.

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired should live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
