Sharon Healthcare, located in Peoria, Illinois, specializes in providing rehabilitative and long-term care to individuals of all ages with all types of needs, including those with Dementia and other high-risk illnesses. As part of the Barton Healthcare Family, the Sharon Healthcare system is made up of four communities that provide a continuum of care to serve a wide range of populations.

We are currently accepting applications for Maintenance Director. In order to be considered for this position, interested individuals must:

· Possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or GED

· Have experience in planning and implementing repairs, construction, and equipment installation/maintenance

· Be in good mental and physical health, have sound judgment, and a sincere desire to work with the facility’s population

· Be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a height of five feet, and be able to move and/or carry such weight for a minimum distance of 50 feet

· Have a working knowledge of standard equipment use and maintenance

· Be able to receive and carry out directives, as well as effectively supervise and direct personnel

· Be highly dependable and punctual

· Be able to work events, weekends, holidays, and in emergency situations whenever required

Preference will be given to candidates with previous leadership and/or management experience in maintenance/facility plant management in a high-paced environment.

Reliable transportation and an ability to respond to the facility 24/7 in the case of an emergency is required.

This position additionally requires on-call duties and consistent availability during non-traditional business hours.
