POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will create a selling environment that is focused on customer engagement and achieving business results. Provide leadership and guidance to their team that creates an environment focused on customer satisfaction, maximum productivity and profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be passionate about selling and driving results through coaching others and comfortable with performance management. This is a hands on selling position in a retail store.
• Lead team by creating a motivating selling culture supported by your “On the Floor Coaching” style.
• Communicate clear expectations and hold the store team and themselves accountable to achieving all brand performance and behavior standards.
• Lead and inspire a customer engagement culture by recognizing and rewarding team results.
• Build effective relationships with peer and upper management partners.
• Participate in productive management and team meetings.
• Proactively seek personal learning and development opportunities.
People Development
• Recruit, hire, develop and retain top management and sales talent for the store, to include maintaining optimal staffing levels.
• Train and develop sales team in all areas of job responsibility.
• Consistently assess and provide ongoing performance feedback to all levels of store team.
• Recognize performance issues in a timely manner and partner with corporate partners to develop action plans for resolution.
Visual Merchandising
• Ensure that all visual directives are executed seamlessly and within scheduled time frame and allotted payroll budget.
• Direct and execute strategic, brand appropriate merchandising to maximize sales and presentation standards.
• Partner in store’s execution of all merchandise processing and flow to the floor in conjunction with exceptional backroom standards, including previous inventory management experience that required tracking of in stock levels and communicating low stock levels. Previous experience in inventory management and proficient with excel and business reporting.
Drive for Results
• Partner with corporate in the execution of the store business plan that drive KPI results and maximizes business opportunities.
• Achieve predetermined financial budgets to include payroll management.
• Drive brand loyalty through demonstrating sales leadership, coaching and connecting with the customer experience, including outside brand promotion and event participation.
• Achieve store shrink goals and maintain all operational standards to secure the assets of the store’s physical location
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Specialty Retail Management or Big Box Experience required.
· Minimum high school education or equivalent.
· Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving & planning skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Must have previous experience in developing and coaching successful retail Store team(s).
· Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights and weekends.
· Must be 18 years of age and older.
