We are currently seeking a seasoned supply chain professional to join our operations team. This newly created position will be an integral part of our procurement and logistics team as we embark on the next phase of our growth.

Job Summary: The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in estimating demand, sourcing products and services domestically and internationally, developing product specifications, evaluating product quality, and negotiating purchases. This role involves developing and maintaining strong business relationships with suppliers worldwide and managing the logistics of product transportation.

In this role you’ll have the following responsibilities:

• Estimate demand for products or services.
• Obtain information about goods or services available, both domestically and internationally.
• Develop specifications for new products or processes.
• Evaluate the quality of materials or products.
• Negotiate the purchase of products or services.
• Develop business relationships with suppliers worldwide.
• Schedule product or material transportation.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have the following skills and experience:

• A four-year degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other relevant discipline is required
• Experience in the identification of potential sources for products and services worldwide.
• Extensive experience in the manufacture of furniture, case goods, and/or millwork products.
• Proven experience in international sourcing and purchasing.
• Strong shipping and logistics negotiation experience.
• Ability to construct accurate shipping time forecasts.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
• Strong analytical skills.
