Being a Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. reviews marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness and value of marketing strategies or campaigns. Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies appropriate sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns. Ensures product and brand initiatives are consistent and support the organization's public image. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Sr. Product Manager - Semiconductor Products

  • We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for our growing M-Cubed division which develops and produces ceramic composite materials and products for various global industries, including a significant presence in the semiconductor capital equipment market. This position plays a key role in the growth and improved profitability of the division through strategic development of our products and helping to drive operational excellence to meet the demand of the markets we serve.  The Product Manager will be based out of one of our division facilities in Newtown, CT, Monroe, CT or Newark, DE with travel to our domestic and international (Asia & Europe) customers (25-40%).

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the product P&L 
    • Participate in annual budgeting and 5-year planning; help set revenue and profitability targets to support the 5 Year Plan
    • Responsible for business case development for R&D and/or operational CapEx investments
    • Project 5-year investment roadmap on R&D investments for products
    • Ensure consistent achievement of customer, project, cost and quality results to support annual & strategic plans
    • Develop and manage strong business/technical relationships at customers
    • Drive product engineering teams to design and develop manufacturable standard and customized products to achieve market share leadership
    • Responsible for maintaining the product and ensuring cross-functional compliance to product life cycle processes
    • Monitor and coordinate order fulfillment processes to meet cost, lead-time, on-time delivery, volumes, quality and margin objectives; escalate and drive mitigation actions with other members of the team in case of constraints or issues
    • Responsible for driving product strategy

    Education & Experience

    • BA or BS in Engineering required with MBA or MS/PhD in Engineering strongly preferred
    • Significant business experience (Product Management, Engineering, Operations Management, R&D and/or Product Marketing) in a technical environment combined with a track record of success
    • 10 years of experience in Product Management/Engineering Leadership roles in the materials or related industry
    • Knowledge of advanced materials business, with specific emphasis on semi-conductor industry

    Skills

    • Knowledge and understanding of financial instruments: P&L, balance sheet, income statement
    • In depth understanding of the value proposition in existing and new market segments
    • Development of product roadmaps
    • Ability to easily and successfully work with employees and customers in a multi-cultural, global team environment
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complex issues involving external and internal priorities
    • Experience with problem analysis and resolution at the strategic and functional levels
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency
    • Ability to travel domestic and internationally – 25 to 40%.
    • Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

    Working Conditions

    Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc. Comfortable being on production floor to monitor or work with team as needed.
