Summary of Responsibilities:

The Accounting Assistant provides accounting support to staff which includes entering invoices into the accounting system; preparing invoices for intercompany transactions, journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations, monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, and payment applications for open accounts payable items; and assisting accounting staff in daily cash management and entry in accounting software. The position is further responsible for the daily reconciliation of bank accounts, initiation of wire payments to include gathering back-up and entry on the bank websites, and the performance of other duties as assigned.

Summary of Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate’s degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of one (1) year of general accounting assistant duties are preferred. This position requires the effective ability to adapt to changing priorities; meet strict, daily deadlines; and recognize and escalate urgent issues as needed within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate possesses successful communication (verbal and written), client service, organizational, and time management skills with a high attentiveness to detail. Prior experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
