As we scale, we are seeking a high-performing, proactive de novo Project Manager to help execute our new school growth strategy.

- Full De Novo Pipeline. Within a collaborative framework, we will build a pipeline of new school developments by strategically evaluating new school opportunities; nurturing industry connections and partnerships, providing thorough feasibility analysis and business financial modeling, and effectively owning the full new school development process including; detailed project management and communication, cross-departmental collaboration, lease documentation, school/playground design, and construction management with a successful results-oriented approach to new school openings.
What You’ll Do:- Manage the planning, design development, construction, project schedule, and execution of de novo/new school development projects, including new school openings, expansions, and relocations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, designers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, government agencies, and investors, to ensure new school project objectives are met.
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, bids, proposals, and other project-related documents.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor and track project progress, milestones, and deliverables, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental team members in preparation for a successful new school opening and transition to the operations team.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, permits, and zoning requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and approvals required for construction and school operations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and permits.
- Provide regular project status updates, highlighting key accomplishments, issues, and risks.
- Assist in the preparation of growth presentational materials and other real estate development reports, including opportunity pipeline, leasing, budgets, schedule, project management, and the preparation and tracking of cross-departmental school development planning. Other reports and presentations as required.
- Support M&A growth by providing real estate development expertise and services, as required.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in project management, preferably in commercial real estate development, including office, retail, industrial, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
How it Gets Done:- Full-time, 40-hour-a-week schedule, sometimes off-hours as the business requires (i.e., evening town hall or permitting meetings, networking events, business dinners, etc.).
- Travel may be required (50%) may be required to schools, events, meetings, or new school/acquisition scoping.
