MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Job Purpose:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. 

Nature of Duties:                                                                                                                             

Develop and execute manufacturing processes
Continuously improve processes
Define and develop tooling/fixturing requirements
Procure assembly tooling/fixturing
Provide technical direction to assembly personnel
Provide troubleshooting leadership
Identify root cause and corrective action in order to solve complex technical production problems and develop re-work instructions when needed
Manage projects from start to finish with the ability to investigate, transfer, and adapt processes, techniques, or methods to new applications is required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or
5 - 8 years experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer
Experience in Oracle
Experience interfacing with customers.
Practical Experience with CAD software such as AutoCad
Practical experience with SolidWorks
Lean Manufacturing
Strong familiarity with Automation, processes, tooling and equipment.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent technical writer.
Excellent verbal communication.
