  • Summary

    This position is responsible for the development of a master production schedule for all Sebastopol produced US Bagged Tea, including blends, displays and sampling program production. This position coordinates production with the manufacturing team and ensures the timely execution of system transactions in alignment with master production plans and reacts for fluctuations in demand. This role is the main liaison between purchasing/materials availability and production, and works specifically to optimize supply plans, service to sales, finished goods inventory, and supports the site revenue plan. Reviews demand planning and capacity inputs to meet customer demand; reviews the outputs are valid prior to release to the Production and Purchasing Teams. This role provides tactical support to TM and coordinates ad hoc problem-solving efforts with other internal teams as needed. This person is the main point of contact to determine supply impacts of unplanned downtimes, quality issues and raw material shortages.

    Essential Functions

    • Plans and executes the production schedule of all Sebastopol produced bagged tea
    • Analyze weekly supply versus demand and implements any required actions.
    • Helps to resolve supply-related delays, obstacles, conflicts and product supply issues
    • Plans and communicates material requirements to packaging and suppliers
    • Assists plant staff with scheduling and supply-related issues
    • Prepare and organize work orders for release to the shop floor
    • Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support inventory targets
    • Ensure timely escalation of any potential supply issues
    • Engage with Planning Director in MRP analysis & reporting of demand fluctuations or other issues
    • Coordinate changes to existing products as well as phase-in and phase-out of products
    • Owns ops execution level of product life cycle management for all Sebastopol produced bagged tea
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and new planning software implementation
    • Coordinates with Purchasing to ensure raw material availability for required runs
    • Interprets information from the weekly regeneration of the MRP to schedule production in blending and production departments
    • Coordinates and adjusts production schedule as needed for planned downtimes and holidays

    Requirements

    • Five years planning experience or equivalent with preference to previous experience in pharma or consumer packaged goods
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Advanced Excel skills preferred
    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
    • Acute attention to detail
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
    • Ability to work for periods of time without direct supervision
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards


  • Experience/Education

    • Degree in supply chain management or equivalent in related field highly preferred

    Knowledge/Abilities/Skills

    Technical Skills:

    • High level of proficiently in ERP/MRP systems such as Microsoft Dynamix AX highly preferred

    Travel Requirements (if any)

    Office Hours/Location:

    • This position is based in Sebastopol, CA. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 pm. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work remotely. Expected in-offices days are Monday - Friday. Subject to change
    • Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.

    Compensation range is $75,800.00 - $99,435.00 per year

    Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.
