Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Production Clerk position exists to provide support services for Johns Manville Industrial Insulation Group’s Manufacturing facility. The individual holding this role will be responsible for providing support in the areas of data management, analysis, and reporting/communications.
Position Overview:
This position compiles and records production data, prepares records, and reports on volume of production/consumption of raw material. This position is responsible for accurate data entry of production data into SAP, (i.e., scrap, wip, finished goods). This position will also be responsible for analyzing the reports and identifying trends with product sizes impacting scrap, finished goods, etc.
Responsibilities:
? Compiles and records production data following prescribed record keeping procedures.
? Calculates factors, such as types and quantities of production, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and production rates.
? Enters daily production into SAP.
? Provides production schedules to the mold supervisors.
? Maintains files of documents used and prepared.
? Closes (TECO) Production Orders.
? Responsible for all production reports and mold change schedules.
? Collaborates with work centers in completing cycle count and physical inventory tasks as they arise.
? Drafts preparation of presentation slides using combination of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint.
? May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
? High School Diploma (3.0 GPA) with a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience.
? Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
? Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
? Basic data gathering skills.
? Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems (Solid).

? Solid planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
? May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to and including 25 pounds.
Work environment is typical of a manufacturing/warehouse facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.
