Quality Technician/Inspector

Overview of position:

The Quality Technician/Inspector provides inspection support to quality assurance manager and shop floor personnel. Using the latest in CMM and Optical inspection equipment as well as precision manual inspection tools and gages of many types; this role is all about the inspection of machined components and maintaining documentation per our ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System.

Responsibilities:

• Reading blueprints and specifications and comparing necessary measurements of product to ensure it meets customer and company specifications
• Prepare and / or review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
• Perform dimensional, receiving, in-process and final inspections as required.
• Assist in the development of control/ inspection plans to ensure product compliance.
• Support Lean/continuous improvement principals and initiatives.
• Support the Team to ensure quality products are shipped to customers

The ideal candidate will possess:

• High School Diploma
• Quality certification (CQI, CQPA, CQT) is a plus
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Goal-oriented mindset with an innate drive to complete tasks
• Self-directed, independent, and highly-motivated
• General knowledge of GD&T and inspection equipment
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate and care for delicate precision equipment
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace

Physical Requirements of the position:

• Standing, sitting, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs.), carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke within OSHA approved levels
