Description:
The Sr. Production Engineer will be responsible for taking the product packaging, conceptualizing what it would cost to build/alter a machine to manufacture it and then facilitate the process throughout production. This includes documentation of machine layouts, performance and troubleshooting. Additionally, they will need to perform cost analysis on machine upgrades to support an increase in production and efficiency per order demand.

Responsibilities: • Draft machine designs with engineers and estimate the cost to support product production • Document how the machines will run for Operations and Maintenance teams and how they can troubleshoot • Cost breakdown for improving current production and efficiency • Communicate with vendors, OEMs and internals sales teams on cost outlines and project updates • Work cross functionally with maintenance engineers, operations, and testing teams Qualifications: • BA in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (Chemical may work too) • 3 years of experience as a Production Engineer or similar role • Ideally, background in product packaging • Will need to be able to look at an empty package and understand if Apex’s machines can make it and what’s needed to do so • Documentation experience • Cost breakdown, production improvement experience
