This is a Term appointment NTE 4 years and may be extended for up to a total of 8 years.
Salary Range: $26.73 - $31.24 per hour.

Duties: Works as a team member under the direction of higher graded workers, performing troubleshooting, services and repairs of industrial electronic control systems. Work assignments include a variety of Production Machinery/Equipment, overhead cranes, remote automated industrial electronic control systems and/or PLC equipment, variable frequency drives (VFD) on fan supply & exhaust systems, and conveyors. Uses a variety of test equipment to include VOMs, amp meters, oscilloscopes, diagnostic tapes, digital fault displays, chart recorders, logic analyzers, temperature and flow monitors, and signal generator/simulators. Assists higher graded mechanics with servicing and repairing electronic systems, subsystems, and components of automatic storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) in various buildings and locations.
Qualifications: To qualify, your resume must reflect experience which shows your ability to do the work of an Electronic Industrial Controls Worker without more than normal supervision which includes the ability to: (1) Use a wide variety of test equipment such as VOMs, amp meters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tapes. (2) Perform preventive maintenance on items such as machinery and/or equipment; and (3) Follow instructions provided.
Requirements for Position:
· Appointment may be subject to suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a complete background investigation.
· Pre-employment and annual physical is required.
· Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
· Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period.
· Position may be filled by a Term appointment not to exceed 4 years and may be extended up to a maximum of 8 years.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Light to moderate physical exertion is required in lifting and carrying items weighing from 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally heavier objects. Mechanics are required to bend, stoop, stand and climb for extended periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is usually performed inside. Frequently work is performed in awkward positions and often using ladders. Mechanic is subject to falls, burns, cuts, bruises, and electrical shock. Worker is often subjected to loud noise, high temperature and humidity.
