Production Engineering Manager manages the planning and designing of methods to improve or enhance existing programs. Oversees the analysis and review of budgets, schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources. Being a Production Engineering Manager develops and recommends revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production requirements. Ensures projects are completed on time. Additionally, Production Engineering Manager acts as advisor to production engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Production Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Summary


    TAI is supporting one of the largest manufacturers of home improvement projects in the U.S. with its opening for an Engineering Manager. This individual will be responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the Engineering Department in addition to overseeing safety, quality, customer service, efficiency, cost, project management and maintaining the facility.



    What You'll Do:


    • Plan and Coordinate the efforts of the engineering department to provide a capital project management and continuous improvement plan that utilizes best practices to effectively support continuous improvement and optimize cost.
    • Analyze data, identify trends, and implement needed corrections to ensure processes and practices stay in control while continuous improvement objectives are obtained.
    • Using data driven analysis, drive continuous improvement in the plant's overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) metrics, focusing on equipment availability.
    • Instill continuous improvement in safety and housekeeping results. Establish industry best housekeeping standards, procedures, and associate practices to maintain a professional, neat, and safe facility.

    Your Background Should Include:

    • Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering
    • Seven or more years of relevant engineering management experience
