Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description
Painters have the responsibility to perform blasting and painting utilizing marine coating to specified contract requirements.
Understanding of blasting and painting specifications including but not limited to blast profiles, millage requirements, ect.
Perform blasting and painting applications as directed by supervision. Testing will consist of the ability to hook up airlines to the manifold and spray horizontal, vertical and side to side.
Able to sand blast and demonstrate how to utilize each part of the blast equipment.
