Production Scheduler develops, prepares, and maintains production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler monitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Production Scheduler typically requires 7+ years of related experience.     We are seeking a Vacancy Coordinator/Scheduler to support our Vista Care Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services operations.

    AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
    The Vacancy Coordinator/Scheduler reports to the Vacancy Coordinator Supervisor. 
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    • To be responsible for ensuring a high quality of life for persons served by providing staffing to all locations within assigned area(s), assuring well-trained and motivated staff, while maintaining compliance with various state and federal regulations
    • Act as an advocate for the individuals served and reports any potential rights violations immediately to the supervisor
    • Be respectful and attentive when interacting with the families of those served and notifies the supervisor of any concerns related to family interactions
    • Always show respect to the individuals served by being positive in interactions and treating individuals in an age-appropriate manner
    • Ensure all programs are adequately staffed
    • Assure staff schedules adhere to approved budgeted hours and assure overtime is kept within acceptable targets
    • Work with management staff to cover open shifts
    • Use Vista Care’s scheduling system to manage all employee’s schedules and openings
    • Assist management team to troubleshoot coverage solutions when staff are not available
    • Review and maintain Vista Care’s tools to ensure staff is assigned the correct positions and open positions are kept current
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a human services or business field preferred
    • Flexibility in assigned working hours
    • The ability to communicate through verbal and written modalities
    • The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively, give, and accept feedback effectively and problem solve quickly
    • A high energy level, adaptability, assertiveness, patience, and ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent knowledge of computers, specifically Excel and Word applications, and Google Docs/Email
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Time management and follow-up skills with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a large workload; and handle several tasks simultaneously
    • Friendly/approachable personality and ability to build strong relationships with staff
    • Required to pass the WI BID and other background checks, upon hire
    • Have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and insurable driving record in compliance with Vista Care’s requirements
    • Personal vehicle and personal liability insurance must always remain current and within policy limits as determined by Vista Care. Documentation of routine maintenance of a personal vehicle must be maintained and presented to Vista Care upon request if driving individuals in services in a personal vehicle
    • Prompt and regular attendance required
    • Must have good interpersonal skills and consistently demonstrate effective decision-making abilities.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
    1. Physical Requirements – Requires repetitive manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; requires the ability to use all office equipment; and the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds using appropriate body mechanics. Must be able to remain awake and alert for the duration of each shift, to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, twist, sit and walk for periods. 
    2.  Visual, hearing, and communication requirements – Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all staff, other professionals, and individuals. Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in English
    3. Work location – Home-like and office settings with varying degrees of background noise with hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays. The possibility of exposure to bloodborne pathogens exists if universal precautions are not followed. May require working under stressful conditions at times and handling emergencies. There will be pressure at times to meet scheduled appointments and deadlines and manage crises. This position will interact with consumers who are intellectually and developmentally delayed and maybe frail or confused and have the potential for verbal or physical aggression.
