Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. SUMMARY
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules utilizing computer scheduling software to ensure daily production requirements meet customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Check, analyze and verify the availability of material and tools; Create daily schedules by prioritizing orders.; Route work to minimize machine time and set up; Arrange for the movement of material and parts from stockrooms to work stations or between processing departments; Utilize MRP to create master schedules based on customers’ orders or instructions; Follow-up with Customer Service, purchasing and production staff to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation; Interact with production supervisors daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing gaps; Complete status reports regarding production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory; Meet established scheduling productivity/accuracy levels and deadlines; Participate in continuous improvement effort; Maintain orderly and clean work station; Use computers to access and input information; Cross train in all scheduling areas; Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required; Follow appropriate safety precautions; Assist others as directed by Supervisor; Assist Supervisor as directed; Performs other duties as required.
