Production Scheduler Supervisor jobs in Baltimore, MD

The Master Production Scheduler role reports to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Scheduling. This role interacts with commercial and operational leadership to establish a strategic plan and a long-term schedule (0-24 months). This is a highly visible position that directly contributes to the business strategy of the Catalent Gene Therapy Harmans-BWI Business Unit.

The role:

• Generate and maintain long-term production plan based on signed and unsigned opportunities in the pipeline.
• Receive long-term scheduling inputs including processing parameters, equipment needs, client requirements, and regulatory filing expectations from multiple business departments within the Business Unit.
• Build capacity plans, models various delivery scenarios and escalate long-term capacity or equipment challenges
• Add events like capital work, maintenance, calibration into the long-term schedule
• Complete tasks associated to project preparedness for each new project
• Master Production Schedule creation: Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule. Establish key performance indicators of master plan accuracy and adherence.
• Ensure the interaction of a firm’s functional managers, and track and maintain the forecast through timely and accurate feedback.
• Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan.
• Identify current planned level of demand and create strategic production plans to meet the signed and forecasted customer demand. Calculate production lead times.

The candidate:

• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field and 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Associate degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management and 12 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• APICS certification is preferred
• Requires understanding of supply management and best practices in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• ERP Experience and technical ability to create new tools or processes that improve the planning/purchasing/scheduling process.
• Requires ability to respond effectively to unforeseen developments and initiate actions to reduce adverse impact.
• Proven ability to communicate complicated issues in simple terms.

• Demonstrated experience meeting and driving deadlines through the results of others.

The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $115,000 - $150,000 plus an annual bonus target. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
