Production Supervisor

We are a leading food company looking to bring on board a Production Supervisor in the Los Angeles area. We are looking for someone to coordinate various manufacturing functions and take ownership of the plant and adhere to manufacturing policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain a positive workplace within a manufacturing environment that promotes safety, quality, trust, and teamwork.
• In charge of purchasing materials and chemicals along with those inventory control.
• Correspond with FDA, Audit and other inspectors.
• Maintain machinery daily basis.
• Make an arrangement with Contractor when needs repairs
• Coordinate with Temp Agencies
• In charge of all sanitation records keeping, physical checking and notify employees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years production supervisory experience in a Food manufacturing environment (Preferred)
• Knowledge of Asian/Japanese food (Preferred)
• Detail oriented
• Knowledge of food safety, Audit, HACCP & GMP guidelines (Preferred)
• Ability to work in a Team setting
• Computer skills: MS Office (Word and Excel), Email
• Effective oral and written communication in both English and Japanese.
• Math and reading comprehension
• Bilingual a plus (English, Japanese)

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Hair net, mask, apron, smock/pants, gloves, non-slip boots will be provided
• Carry, lift, push, pull up to 40lbs
• Production facility environment – Loud ambient equipment/machinery, operation of equipment/machinery

Job Type

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Entry Level (Factory inexperienced Worker) Up to $54K

Experienced (Factory experienced Worker) Up to $62K

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision and IRA (3% Matching)

Additional Compensation:

• Bonuses (1/year depending on company profit)

Working Hours: 6:45- around 16:30 or 17:00 (whenever finish)

Working days: Monday through Friday

About 1.5-2.0 hour (s) overtime on weekdays. Weekend work once in a while

Experience:

• Production Supervisor: 3 years (Preferred)
• Japanese food related (Preferred)
