Reporting to the Process Supervisor or General Manager, the Production Technician assists in a wide variety of assignments including, but not limited to: scheduling product runs, assisting in determining the appropriate tote-loading configuration for new product, authorizing work cycles and training less senior personnel.
Responsibilities
- Schedules product runs through the irradiator.
- Assists in determining the appropriate tote-loading configuration for new product.
- Authorizes work orders for proper cycle and loading patterns.
- Inspects inbound customer runs for loading accuracy as outlined on the work order.
- Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies used by operations personnel.
- Trains other operations personnel.
- Must be able to perform any operations through those of Shift Supervisor.
- Ensures that all shifts are fully staffed.
- Assists with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in a sterilization environment preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
- Must be willing to work established shifts.
- Should be proficient using a computer and be able to analyze data in a database/spreadsheet.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time.
- Must have forklift driving experience.
Training Required
- Must complete all required training for a “Production Technician” outlined in the training manual.
