About the Role

To supervise and coordinate the production activities of assigned areas in the plant, meeting quantity and quality of products within specifications and costs as set by the plant.

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
• Provide visible leadership in manufacturing department operations
• Provide daily leadership, guidance and direction for direct and indirect reports
• Conduct meetings to determine production needs
• Examine production schedule to determine production scheduling
• Collaborate with plant manager and superintendent to solve work-related problems
• Responsible for specific area(s)
• Responsible for all production, quality, and safety of area of shift (A,B,C, etc.)
• Pushes schedule for department
• Reduces OT
• Increases efficiency (machines and manhour per ton) per hour
• Reduces scrap
• Interview candidates
• Timecards daily review/approval
• Disciplines/accountability for late breaks, poor work, etc.
• Reinforce values
• Performance Management (90-day reviews, annual reviews, disciplinary, etc.)
• Daily toolbox talks
• General housekeeping
• Cross training
• Inventory management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with demonstrated progression of increased responsibility
• Demonstrate ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, forklift operation, and manufacturing technology
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
