    Position Summary:

    The College of Business at Franklin Pierce University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Professor, with a focus on Management. We welcome applications from individuals dedicated to achieving teaching excellence and maintaining a continuous program of research, publication, and service contributions to the profession, university, and community.

    Responsibilities include delivering high-quality advisement and mentoring to students, actively participating in ongoing program assessment, and contributing to IACBE accreditation requirements. We prioritize candidates who have demonstrated teaching excellence, innovation, and a commitment to working with diverse populations and perspectives. Strong candidates will exhibit a dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration and collegiality.

    • The College of Business awards both BS and MBA degrees and currently boasts a dedicated team of 11 fulltime faculty members and 20 part-time faculty members.
    • Our MBA program offers a fully online experience, complemented by the option for undergraduate students to pursue a three-plus-one program model to earn their MBA.
    • Faculty members actively engage in ongoing program assessment, integral to our IACBE accreditation and continuous improvement process.
    • A culture of innovation is fostered among faculty, encouraging the development and proposal of new courses and enhanced pedagogical approaches as part of our assessment processes.
    • Faculty members typically carry a teaching load of four campus courses per semester, with online course options available across most programs of study.
    • Enjoy a conducive learning environment with manageable class sizes ranging from 20 to 28 students on our Rindge, New Hampshire campus.

    Qualifications:

    A terminal degree (Ph.D./JD) in Management or related discipline is required from an accredited institution with preference for those who have earned their degree from an AACSB/IACBE accredited institution. All but degree (ABD's) will be considered with the expectation of completion of the degree no later than the start of employment. (estimated August 2024)

    • Preferred candidates should possess teaching experience in areas such as general management and operations, business law, organizational behavior, business strategy, and human resources management. Practical work experience in these domains will be prioritized.
    • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching is essential, with the ability to engage students effectively across various modalities.
    • The role encourages and expects active involvement in high-quality research and professional engagement or service.
    • Successful applicants should showcase a genuine passion for providing high-quality, student-centered advising and mentoring.
