Under the general supervision of the Division Dean of Arts & Communications, the Adjunct Associate Professor of Dance teaches organized classes primarily in the Dance discipline(s); the primary responsibility is to teach up to 10 units (part-time) in the assigned discipline.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in dance, physical education with a dance emphasis, or theater with a dance emphasis, OR bachelor's in any of the above AND masters in physical education, any life science, physiology, theater arts, kinesiology, humanities, performing arts or music OR the equivalent.

Effective July 1, 2016, adjunct faculty maximum initial placement on the Hourly Salary Schedule shall be step 5 (initial salary placement plus 4 years of teaching/relevant experience) of the appropriate class (SJCTA Union Contract: Article XVIII 18.7; Appendix A-2)
