The University of Jamestown Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program is hiring a core faculty member who will contribute to the mission of the University of Jamestown and the DPT program. This position is an on-site core faculty position at our in-person program in Fargo, ND. Come join our dynamic and collaborative faculty in mentoring the next generation of physical therapists!
Minimum Qualifications:
· DPT degree
· Current Physical Therapy (PT) license, and eligibility for PT licensure in North Dakota
Preferred Qualifications in Addition to Minimum Qualifications:
· A minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a physical therapist
· Academic doctorate degree (PhD, DSc, or EdD)
· Board-certified clinical specialist
· Teaching experience
· Research experience
· Experience as a clinical instructor
Core Faculty Position Responsibilities:
The position is a 12-month full-time commitment. As a core faculty member, teaching, scholarship and service are required. Teaching includes course development, primary instruction, team-teaching, and participation in curricular meetings. Teaching responsibilities will be based on areas of expertise, interest, and program needs. Areas of experience preferred for this position include orthopedics or pediatrics.
Enhancing the profession through participation in research is required. Mentoring in the development of an active scholarly research agenda will be provided.
Service is also required and may include service to the university, the program, the profession and the community. Faculty members are allowed to maintain some clinical hours to maintain clinical expertise.
