Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Geological Sciences typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Applications are currently invited for part-time instructors in the Health Sciences program housed in the School of Health Sciences.

    The School of Health Sciences commonly has the need for part-time instructors. We invite applications to be submitted for these potential openings.

    These appointments are on a course-by-course basis. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and discipline. These postings are continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area of interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of WCU at any time you will be contacted to discuss proposed teaching opportunities. These needs change from semester to semester.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Minimum qualifications for teaching in the academic programs are a master's or doctoral degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree with a concentration (minimum 18 graduate semester hours) in the teaching discipline.
