Sussex County Community College is developing a pool of qualified applicants to teach U.S. History I and U.S. History II for the Spring 2025 semester. The accepted candidates may help determine the in-person schedule. Expertise in teaching in-person and online is required.
The U.S. History I course is an examination of United States history from the age of discovery through Reconstruction. Emphasis will be placed on the social, economic, and political forces that were responsible for the development of the new nation.
The U. S. History II course is an examination of United States history from the emergence of an industrial America through the present. Emphasis will be placed on the social, economic, and political forces that were responsible for the development of modern America.
Required Education/Experience by Discipline
· Master’s degree in history with a focus on U. S. History.
· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills needed.
· At least two years teaching experience at the college level.
· Strong technical skills especially with Canvas Leaning Management System or similar learning management systems.
