Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Liberal Arts provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance

  • The College Business and Social Sciences is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance. Candidates must be able to contribute to both the BBA in Finance program and MBA program and should have broad competence in Finance with the ability to teach a variety of courses.  Candidates who bring experience, expertise, and/or specialization in corporate finance, investments, and fintech and analytics are most preferred.  Some experience in online teaching is beneficial but not critical.   Effective teaching skill must be demonstrated and is expected in both online and face-to-face classes.  

    Looking to fill this position by Fall 2025
    • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses during the fall and spring semesters.
    • Mentor undergraduate students.
    • Pursue a program of scholarly research and publication.
    • Advise students and maintain records of student progress.
    • Actively participate in recruitment and retention for the programs.
    • Contribute to the mission of the program and college.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
    Candidates are preferred to have a doctoral degree or be ABD in Finance or closely related field of specialization, and must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service. ABD candidates must be nearing completion. Expertise should be demonstrated through doctoral transcripts and/or professional experience.
