Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • The Biomedical Sciences division of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Comprehensive Care in the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) invites persons with a strong teaching background in immunology to apply for a full-time tenure/tenure-track position at either the rank of assistant, associate or full professor. Rank will be determined based upon qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will join our team with an anticipated starting date of July 1, 2023.IUSD has a national and international reputation of excellence in education, patient care, research and discovery. Core values including collaboration, patient-centered care, integrity and diversity guide our curriculum and pedagogical strategies to deepen our students’ understanding of the science foundation of dentistry, enriching their development toward becoming oral health care professionals, educators, and researchers.We therefore are seeking a skilled educator who demonstrates excellence and innovation in teaching related to immunology in the university environment. The primary responsibility for the position is didactic teaching. In addition, the individual is expected to collaborate with research faculty with a focus on student research mentoring in the biomedical sciences portions of our pre-doctoral and graduate education programs.  Our student research mentoring involves undergraduate, pre-doctoral, dental residents (M.S.D.) and Ph.D. students.  Service at the department, school, and campus level is expected.
