Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Job Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will handle front desk responsibilities and assist in providing excellent patient care.

    Duties:

    - Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

    - Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries

    - Verify insurance information and collect co-payments

    - Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation

    - Assist medical staff with administrative tasks as needed

    - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality

    - Utilize medical terminology accurately

    Requirements:

    - Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant preferred

    - Knowledge of medical scheduling systems such as ECW

    - Familiarity with medical office procedures is a plus

    - Proficiency in using phone systems for handling calls efficiently

    - Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient privacy

    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including emergency room settings
