Being a Professor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. - The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS) is resonsible for the nursing team and quality of patient services in the absense of the Director of Nursing
- The Assistant Director of Nursing supervises, analyzes, delegates and evaluates nursing activities and ensures patient comfort and care
- The Assistant Director of Nursing chairs meetings specific to the nursing strategic plan
- The Assistant Director of Nursing assists with State Federal Survey Preparedness
- The Assistant Director of Nursing works within the focus of quality assurance and performance improvement
- The Assistant Director of Nursing leads the standards of care team with focus on quality measures
- The Assistant Director of Nursing provides bedside care in emergencies
Qualified Applicant will possess:
- Current unemcumbered State of CT Registered Nurse License
- Current CPR, BLS, AED Certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong clinical and nursing assessment skills
