We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist whose primary role is to create a welcoming atmosphere, assist in patient scheduling, manage medical records, and complete administrative tasks in our Lifestyle Medicine Medical Fitness Facility.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Answer and manage incoming phone calls.
• Intake private patient information.
• Create and review all scheduled appointments.
• Process payments and maintain accurate patient financial records
• Adjust patient schedules as needed per the recommendation of their physical therapist.
• Manage patient inquiries and provide accurate information in regards to services, policies, or procedures.
• Coordinate with other medical offices to acquire additional pertinent patient information or referrals.
• Perform backup medical billing duties as needed.
• Assist in product sales.
• Prepare reports to analyze practice growth.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels of products and order supplies as needed.
• Perform cleaning and restocking duties to ensure smooth operation of the clinic.
• Ensure the waiting room and patient accessible areas are clean and tidy.
• Attend required staff meetings and in-services.
• In the event of inclement weather or health pandemic, work may be assigned and performed at the employees home pending approval of the office manager or owner.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma (minimum)
-Valid New York State driver's license
-Reliable transportation to and from work or any other work related events.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency in using office systems such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or Prompt.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling high call volumes.
