Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. What You'll Do
- To plan, organize, develop and direct the delivery of therapy services in designated facility in accordance with current Federal, State, and local regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- To ensure the provision of the highest quality care to residents and families.
- To demonstrate support for and leadership in achieving the mission of Advantage.
- To manage the performance of therapy department personnel.
About You
- You are a graduate of an accredited school of therapy and licensed as a therapist by the State in which practicing.
- You bring a minimum of two years in a supervisory/management/leadership role in a healthcare setting required.
- You bring a minimum of two years as a therapist in a Long Term Care setting preferred.
