Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Job Title: Asst Professor DPT Job Summary:

    • The full time non-administrative assistant professor holds either 10-month or 12-month appointments with all rights and responsibilities of faculty appointment. Primary responsibility for faculty focuses on providing instruction and an effective environment for student learning, service and scholarship. Full time faculty may serve in clinical or non-clinical programs where appropriate.

    Experience, Education, Training, Special Skills, and Licensure:

    • Two (2) years of clinical practice
    • Doctoral degree
    • Eligible for unrestricted license in Louisiana

    Job Function:

    1. Teaching
      1. Implements curricular and instructional interventions
      2. Develops student learning outcomes
      3. Utilizes peer review and coaching
      4. Applies what has been learned from formative and summative feedback on instruction
      5. Engages in professional development activities to promote development in the scholarship of teaching and learning
    2. Advising
      1. Reflects on summative students' evaluation of academic advising experience
      2. Assesses reports and perceptions of peers and others regarding fidelity to academic advising roles and responsibilities
    3. Contribution to role related knowledge base
      1. Presents at local, state, national and international professional conferences
      2. Demonstrates publication of works identifying type (i.e. peer review), audience (journal and journal distribution), and focus (discovery, application and/or integrated knowledge focus)
      3. Demonstrates citations of own work(s) in others' works
      4. Solicits and participates in funded research (identifying specific role, funding source, and status of project)
    4. Professional Service
      1. Participates in local, state, national, or international professional agencies
    5. Community Service
      1. Actively participates in community groups and organizations as related to the College Mission
    6. Institutional Service
      1. Participates in committee work at the program, school, or institutional level (delineate roles and nature of participation) #CB
