Finance Manager

EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Finance Manager to work full time for its Finance Department.

The Finance Manager position is an exempt with an annually salary of $80,000-$85,000. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM. The office is located in Garden City, NY. The role reports to the Chief Finance Officer.

Primary Purpose of Job: 

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for accounting functions and for being the first-line agency liaison to EAC Network’s funders for assigned program contracts. For determining all expense allocation percentages for respective programs. This position plays a key role in support of the program auditing and expense allocations.  

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 

1. Accounts Receivable task include: Creation and booking of certain predetermined claims associated with program contracts, including closeouts and budgeting. 
2. Tracking and reporting of program expenses against the contracted budget.  
3. Create respective budgets for programs.
4. Responsible for review of grants management and follow-up with funders. 
5. Assist the CFO in special projects as needed. 
6. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation. 
7. Assist in the audit preparation work as needed. 
8. Perform all other relevant duties as determined by supervisor. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: 

1. A minimum of five years of Finance experience, preferably in a not-for-profit setting required. 
2. Good communication, organizational skills and team player. 
3. Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.  
4. Knowledge of fund accounting is essential. 
5. Intacct Accounting and Grants Management software is desirable.
