Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Negotiates and prepares contracts by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements. Being a Program Manager develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Additionally, Program Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Prepares proposals to win new programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a department head. The Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Title: Social Service Worker - TFC_JOR

    Reporting Relationship: Out of School Coordinator

    Position Summary

    The Social Service Worker for NYAP’s La Jornada (The Journey) Program focusing on Transitional Foster Care (TFC) is responsible for making a meaningful difference in the lives of the minors being served by working closely with the minors and families to provide advocacy and support towards targeted goals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Social Service Worker will perform duties including, but not limited to:

    · Performing all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s Mission, Values and Philosophies.

    · Interacting with the minors to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting the minors in achieving identified goals.

    · Providing the minors with the appropriate leadership during the program.

    · Developing and planning activities that incorporate program goals into the daily routine.

    · Providing a warm, caring and safe atmosphere for the minors.

    · Maintaining a positive attitude toward all minors, co-workers, families and others involved with the program.

    · Reporting any problems that arise to the supervisor.

    · Responsible for all activity and room preparations for the program.

    · Potentially traveling with youth to appointments or to foster or sponsor families.

    · Completing all relevant training in a timely manner as required by state, contract, and/or licensing agency standards.

    · Completing all required documentation in a timely manner.

    · Performing other duties as requested.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    · Twenty-one (21) years of age or older.

    · High School Diploma or equivalent GED.

    · Demonstrate a high degree of customer service and relationship building abilities with a focus on caring for people, connecting communities, and promoting peace.

    · Desire to work with youth and families.

    · Multi-task efficiently and be flexible in all situations.

    · Must be able to embrace working as a diverse team both effectively and respectfully with persons of any background, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, ability, national origin, or culture.

    · Bilingual English/Spanish fluency

    · Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance and a good driving record.

    · Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
