AstraZeneca is seeking a dynamic Associate Director to join the Data Management & Operations team within Strategic Field Operations (SFO). This individual will play a pivotal role in aligning our data management capabilities with the business strategy, emphasizing the strategic importance of data as a competitive asset crucial for enabling Commercial decision-making. The primary focus will be on Data Delivery, Access, and Ownership of AZ Brand Analytics Platform, and to ensure use, and effectiveness, data quality and process efficiency, budget and procurement, and overall data governance across the US Commercial functions.
What you’ll do
- Bring a solid foundation of data management and business knowledge related to Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing.
- Serve as a liaison between Business, Functional Areas, and Technology to ensure that data-related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, well understood, and considered as part of operational effectiveness .
- Manage programs and projects in Life Sciences, with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Establish business-first processes, cadence, and engagement for program management and data management capabilities.
- Manage, measure, communicate, and socialize Key Performance Indicators.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a relevant field
- 6 years pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, data management, and/or data analytics experience
- Experience working in a Data Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics environment.
- Experience across product life cycle (emerging, launch, in-line, mature)
Preferred Requirements:
- Extensive experience managing programs and projects in Life Sciences.
- Strong collaboration and communication competencies to support, shape, and partner with Data Management’s key collaborators across Brand teams, Sales Leaders, Insights & Analytics, Reporting, Market Access, Medical, Compliance, Legal, and IT.
- Strong competence in Data Management, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Analytics, and Customer Data Management processes, techniques, and practices within the Life Sciences industry
- Demonstrated program management experience in Life Sciences, driving and transforming multiple simultaneous programs delivering value for the commercial business and commercial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple relationships and competing priorities in a complex matrixed environment.
- Development of Data, Data Products, Engineering roadmap and capabilities
- Ability to influence laterally and vertically.
- Drive innovative solutions and automated dataflows and processes that deliver efficiencies across the commercial landscape.
- Demonstrated experience shaping, establishing and/or transforming Commercial Data Management capabilities.
- Strong process-oriented experience, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills; consultative background preferred.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities.
- Ability, want, and purpose to transform and shape the future of commercial operations and the value we bring.
- Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of variety of secondary data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony Health, etc.)
