Job Summary

IMS is looking for a highly capable accounting assistant to provide our project team with accounting support. This position will be required to manage the accounting of all projects (set up of the project, budgets, financial health, etc.) including project reviews with our Project Managers.

Job Responsibilities

• Interact closely with the Controller, Project Accountant, and Project Managers.
• Review customer purchase orders, contracts, and IMS proposals & pricing details.
• Maintain updates in PO log.
• Contact Customer for needed documentation and forms, including for sales tax exemptions.
• Understand proper accounting principles, especially revenue recognition methods.
• Provide support in preparing proformas/invoices.
• Monitor projects and support managers with collecting receivables.

• Required:
• Associate’s degree in accounting with relevant work experience in accounting.
• 2-3 years of accounting skills.
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Mail, and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of best practices in accounting and ASC-606/IFRS15.
• Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to lead project meetings.
• Must be able to communicate with multiple departments.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and sales tax laws to ensure proper facilitation of duties.
• Understanding of customer relationships and interaction within a corporate structure.
• Dedicated to financial procedures.
• Detail-oriented on complex issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
