Job Description

Responsible for maintaining the project cost accounting system by ensuring that all commitments, change orders, and progress billings are entered timely and accurately. This position will also be responsible for project reporting as required.

Responsibilities

• Review, code and create purchase orders.
• Review all project invoices for proper approvals, coding, and submit to accounts payable for payment.
• Reconcile monthly capital project activity to the general ledger.
• Report on project expenses and activity as required.
• Analyze and maintain the miscellaneous holding and retainage accounts.
• Reconcile construction and third-party purchasing agents bank account activity.
• Maintain vendor and internal customer relations.
• Assist manager and participate in project meetings and special projects.
• Special projects as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with project/fixed asset related experience preferred.
• Candidate must be deadline focused, organized, detail oriented, a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong overall PC proficiency is a must.
• The ability to work independently and execute sound judgement is a must.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Software Requirements:

• Knowledgeable of Oracle (or other ERPs) Project Accounting and General Ledger modules
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
