Project Engineer - Construction provides technical oversight, review, and engineering analysis of construction projects to ensure compliance with time, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements. Identifies and assesses engineering project risks, and develops mitigation strategies and solutions. Additionally, Project Engineer - Construction facilitates collaboration among project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Project Engineer - Construction work is closely managed.   • General Summary:

    This position requires travel to the customer site located in Eunice, NM.

    Working under the leadership and mentorship of the Area Manager or Project Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for identified aspects of the project life cycle including coordination of activities such as project budget, schedule, purchasing, submittals, invoicing, and post-construction activities. Project management responsibility includes identified aspects of larger scale projects and overall management of smaller scale project life cycles from pre-construction through execution and post construction activities.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to do extended travel to Eunice, NM
    • Project engineer or project management
    • Ability or eventual ability to generate and modify cost loaded progress schedules
    • Knowledge or eventual knowledge of job costing/budgeting/invoicing
    • Ability or eventual ability to accurately interpret contracts
    • Ability or eventual ability to interpret all trades specifications and plans
    • Construction process knowledge

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum 1 – 4 years project management or project support experience in the construction industry
    • 1 year of construction trade experience preferred

    Physical Requirements/Travel:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally inspect operational areas and projects and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. Employee occasionally walks on level and uneven surfaces as well as occasionally ascends and descend stairs and/or ladders at project sites. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

    In this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role. The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 35 pounds.

    This position requires approximately 80% to 90% travel.
