Provides technical support for the engineering process and contributes to the completion of a project. Being a Project Engineer analyzes project requirements and performs standard technical calculations. Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Additionally, Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Project Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The Athens County Engineer, Jeff Maiden, will be accepting applications for temporary, seasonal workers. The mission of the Athens County Engineer’s Office is to serve the citizens of Athens County by building and maintaining a safe and modern county highway system; to respond promptly to reasonable road complaints; to process land surveys and property records accurately; and to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars by developing cost effective solutions for road and bridge maintenance problems.
