We are looking for a motivated Transportation Engineering Project Manager to develop, expand and grow our transportation engineering team. What you'll do
You will provide strategic direction to grow our transportation division firmwide and lead, mentor and develop staff. You will manage and provide work to direct reports to maintain billable utilization. You will identify areas for growth and provide strategies to develop new business. You will maintain and expand client relationships with the help of branch managers and project managers throughout the firm. While you manage multiple projects and assignments, you will maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction, communication and quality.

What it takes
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering. If you have seven or more years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably at a professional consulting firm, then we're interested. You should be a licensed professional engineer or demonstrate the ability to secure licensure shortly after starting employment. You should have a minimum of five years of relevant project/client experience with Illinois, Wisconsin and/or Iowa departments of transportation and/or the Illinois Tollway.
You should have a strong knowledge of site grading, stormwater management, sanitary sewer design, water supply systems and roadway design for residential, commercial and industrial sites.
You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player.
