Project Manager - Construction directs day-to-day construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Manages governance of projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors all project milestones, changes, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager - Construction manages strategic client and contractor relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Project Manager - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Position Description
Korsmo Construction is looking for a Project Manager in our Tacoma office.
Korsmo Construction has been around since the late 1940’s and serves clients throughout the greater Puget Sound Region. We define service as providing a positive, professional, and lasting experience to those we work for as well as to those we work with.
Our Project Manager plans and executes successful project outcomes for assigned projects and clients. Examples of successful outcomes are timely buyout, timely construction milestones and completion, timely change order management, timely close-out, satisfied clients that want to work with Korsmo on their next project, and profitable work. Position will also mentor team members, train Project Engineers, assist in advancement and annual reviews of team members.
The position is fulltime (40 hours), and the salary range is $90,000-$140,000 per year depending on experience.

Position Requirements
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, 5-8 years as a Project Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have demonstrated leadership abilities, public speaking skills, and knowledge of the critical path method. Must have competency in MS Windows as well as MS Office365.
