We are seeking a talented Project Designer/Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and construction, with expertise in project management and construction estimating. Responsibilities:
Preliminary design of all SDC facilities to bring physical security assets up to current design standards including CCTV cameras for Inspection Services, Analytic Cameras for Yards, Docks and Staging areas, Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems.
Responsible for scheduling time each week with Inspection Services representatives including USPS Senior Physical Security Specialist to review/approve previously prepared design layouts.
Forward approved designs along with the technical security bid package to appropriate parties to take the project to bid.
Review/respond to any RFI traffic that has been assigned.
Review/Approve any project submittals and authenticate security integrators credentials against USPS equipment certification needs.
Provide ongoing management and support to the security integrator awarded the project.
Act as liaison between USPIS technical team and security integrator for project commissioning.
Support USPS Facilities Webcam Installations and USPIS Repair project needs by:
-Working with project coordinator to develop proposals when needed.
-Competitively solicit bids
-Review/Approve/Request initial, progress and final invoice requests to USPS
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience - Five years of experience in project management, specifically in physical security installations. -Ability to draft design utilizing CAD (preferred) or Bluebeam.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
