Project Manager - Construction directs day-to-day construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Manages governance of projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors all project milestones, changes, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager - Construction manages strategic client and contractor relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Project Manager - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Construction Quality Control Manager

  • Banton Construction is an established mid-sized construction firm based in Connecticut. We are seeking a qualified professional to work with our team in Fairfield County, CT.

    The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:

    • Positive attitude.
    • Familiarity with CT DOT projects are a plus.
    • Proficiency with Procore, Office365 applications, Microsoft Outlook and Adobe PDF.
    • Meet the requirements for participating in a FRA Regulated Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, including a pre-employment drug screening.

    The QCM must be an individual with demonstrated construction experience. This shall include at least 7 years of experience in any combination of the following areas:

    • Field inspection experience
    • Experience with civil and vertical construction
    • Previous experience as a Quality Control professional
    • Familiarity with CT DOT projects

    The QCM will be responsible for adherence to the written QC Program. The QCM will also be responsible for producing and submitting daily and monthly inspection reports; as well as all other required QC-related forms, drawings, test results and inspection reports.

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical skills to analyze product specifications.
    • Excellent project management skills to effectively plan, coordinate and execute quality control initiatives.
    • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inspections, tests and documentation.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
    • Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.
