  • Full-time Position To Be Responsible For Professional Level Planning Duties Enforcing Land Use, Watershed, Zoning, Floodplain, And Historic Preservation Ordinances And Performing Related Planning Functions. Work Is Performed Independently And Under Supervision Of The Planning Director And Includes Staff Support To Various Boards. Duties Include Conducting Planning Studies, Performing Site And Landscape Plan Reviews, Analyzing Data And Drafting Reports, Researching Records And Enforcing Planning Ordinances And Policies, And Mapping And Maintenance Of GIS And Permitting Software. This Position Involves Frequent Interaction With The Public And Strong Attention To Detail. Knowledge Of The Planning Field, Excellent Oral And Written Communication Skills, Independent Judgment And Initiative, Tact And Courtesy Are Required In The Performance Of Duties. Qualifications: Graduation From A Four-year College Or University With A Degree In Urban Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture Or Related Field And A Minimum Requirement Of 1 Year Experience In A Planning Or A Closely Related Field; Or Any Equivalent Combination Of Education, Experience And Training. Salary Range Is $46,915 - $58,643 Depending On Experience. Additional Salary Consideration Will Be Given To Candidates With Extensive Local Government Planning Experience. Position Includes 5% 401-k Contribution, Local Government Employees Retirement System Membership, Paid Medical, Dental And Life Insurance, 12 Paid Holidays Paid Birthday Day Off, Vacation And Sick Leave, Annual Longevity Payment, And Opportunities For Career Advancement.
