    We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our property management company as a Property Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will address common maintenance issues across multiple properties, performing repairs and installations as well as recommending subcontractors for serious infrastructural projects. You must be able to address a host of common property issues, such as electrical, plumbing, and heating/HVAC. Our ideal candidate has several years of professional experience in property maintenance or construction along with reliable transportation and a basic inventory of tools and equipment.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform general plumbing, water, electrical, and HVAC inspections and repairs for single family residences, multi-family residences and commercial properties
    • Perform repairs and installations of kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and replacement of damaged systems
    • Perform property updating and remodeling including general finish work, drywall, painting and flooring installation
    • Perform general landscaping including mowing lawns, weeding, yard clean up, snow shoveling and irrigation system upkeep and repair
    • Perform groundskeeping and light cleaning duties to keep sidewalks and common areas clean and safe
    • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and irrigation systems continue operating properly
    • Purchase and transport supplies, parts and equipment as necessary
    • Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies
    • Obtain services of outside contractors when repairs require specialized training and licensure
    • Occasional on call work during emergencies
    • Inspect equipment and systems to identify problems or issues
    • Communicates effectively with Property Manager to ensure timely resolve of maintenance issues
    • Log hours worked, track receipts of supplies and parts purchased for maintenance issues and provide reports to property manager
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED certificate
    • Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance, construction or related field
    • Working knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, and electrical systems
    • Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools
    • Basic inventory of hand and power tools
    • Reliable transportation to and from work sites
    • Valid driver's license
    • Must pass a background check and drug test

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physical ability to bend, crouch, climb ladders and crawl into awkward spaces
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time, move and handle equipment
    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
    • Prolonged periods of working outside in variable weather conditions
