Department : Property Services

Position : Maintenance Technician

You’ll make sure our properties are operating efficiently, regularly inspect our building for any damage, and conduct routine maintenance to keep things running smoothly.

Some example tasks we've seen in 2024 are :

• Renovating 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom units in our recently acquired 20-plex
• Mowing & Snow Removal
• Flooring installation
• Emergency Maintenance requests (leaky sinks, broken windows, plumbing issues, etc.)
• Building furniture & furnishing units for to be Airbnb ready
• Painting and shingling
• Landscaping
• Demo & unit clean up when tenants move out
• Cleaning & resetting units when necessary

Every single day will look a little different in this role. As we build and grow, we're looking for leaders to step and potentially take on management and leadership of a leader property services team, so room for future growth.

$22 - $28 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Manage other maintenance requests as required
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
• Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
• Establish and implement preventative maintenance protocols to keep equipment operations smooth and eliminate safety risks
• Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made

Qualifications :

• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures
• Should be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
