Prepares records of articles according to chain of custody procedures and maintains evidence database. Being a Property and Evidence Clerk releases property or evidence being retained to designated party for court presentation or other disposition. Maintains storage facility and coordinates proper disposal of sensitive materials including narcotics, bio-hazardous materials, firearms, and explosives. Additionally, Property and Evidence Clerk typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Property and Evidence Clerk works under moderate supervision. As a Maintenance Technician, you play a direct role in fufilling work orders and maintaining our rental portfolio.
Responsibilities:
·Perform maintenance tasks that include painting, spackling, window repairs, patching holes in the walls, leak and drywall repair, garbage disposal replacement, small electrical work, and other tasks congruentt with property maintenance work.
·Maintain records of maintenance problems or repairs.
·Make sure building systems are working properly.
·Check and schedule appointments
·Coordinate work with BCPM staff and outside vendors
·Knowledge and practice standard procedures for maintenance services.
·Ensure that services are performed in accordance with regulations and federal, state, and local standards..
·Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
·High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
·Previous experience with maintenance management strongly preferred.
·Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance procedures required
·Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with a high level of serviceability with minimal supervision.
·Ability to work as part of a team in a support role for various departments.
·Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with others.
