Job Summary: The Client Advisor (CA) is responsible for generating new business and retention revenue based upon annual objectives. The CA position has both production and service responsibilities. The CA is responsible for producing, expanding and servicing new and existing clients that generate more than $5,000 in commission revenue. As a leader of the account service team, the CA will provide high level support to team members, including the Account Manager and Account Service Associate. Marketing activity is required in this position to meet sales, service, and quality standards . This is a 70% outside sales position that requires direct interaction with clients and service team members. A Commercial Lines Client Advisor is committed to delivering a consistently impeccable experience. Unique Duties/Responsibilities: Sales Responsibilities: Research and identify prospective new commercial clients based on approved agency prospect profile. Maintain all prospecting information and activities in the agency prospect database. Develop and implement an approved solicitation plan for each prospective new client. Identifies and seizes new business opportunities by independently generating meetings with prospects to learn about their business, determine their viability as a prospect, and assess their insurance and Risk Management needs. Audit current and prospective client insurance programs to determine coverage and service gaps. Obtain all necessary information to adequately market the account, complete required applications and submit the account to the Commercial Lines Account Manager for distribution to carriers. Confidently present, negotiate and close new and renewal business proposals. Provide the Commercial Account Manager with all pertinent information necessary to bind coverage and issue policies and documents. Assist the client with the transition to the new program; i.e. coordinate delivery of claims packets, certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and binders and copies of policies. Service Responsibilities: Oversee ongoing service of clients in coordination with Account Manager for as long as business remains an Acrisure client. Responsible for building relationships and trust with the client. Approximately 120 days prior to the client’s annual account renewal, work with the Account Manager on the successful processing of the renewal. Prepare summaries of insurance and recommended coverage. Advise and assist clients by explaining coverage options/exclusions, making coverage recommendations, requesting policy changes, handling premium collections, facilitating loss control service, and answering coverage questions. Respond to client service requests in a timely manner. Maintain client accounts on agency client management system, documents conversations, properly attaches documents, sends confirmations to insured’s and adheres to all other automation procedures that are or become established. Other Responsibilities: Attend and participate (as assigned) in networking and agency sponsored events intended to support prospecting and agency branding including seminars, tradeshows, industry functions, luncheons, etc. Support the implementation of strategies to accomplish the Commercial Lines business objectives. Act in an advisory capacity to others on professional matters relating to Commercial Insurance. Act as service liaison for client with Personal Lines. Actively seek referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects. Work with AM to ensure timely preparation of exposure schedules, proposals, recommendations, and proof of insurance documents. Experience: Minimum 2-4 years' experience in commercial insurance. Must have thorough understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages. Special Technical and Administrative Knowledge: 2-20 insurance license required. Professional designation of ARM, CRM, AAI, CIC, or CPCU preferred. Proficient in the use of windows based operating system and Microsoft Office products (2010 or above), especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong typing skills. Effective communication skills, presentation and negotiating skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to respond to requests timely and efficiently. Special Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret insurance policy language as well as legal documents as they pertain to insured contracts.
