Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor oversees activities of the property/casualty underwriting department. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze and inspect property/casualty insurance contracts, which includes accident insurance, crime insurance, loss of property insurance. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor experienced in risk management and complex applications. Analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor may assist with analysis of large accounts. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. What you’ll be doing
As a Claims Representative, you will investigate and settle simple claims. These are first-party single vehicle automobile accidents, which are those involving just one car.
This position is entry level, a great way to start a career in the insurance industry, and puts you on track to become a Claims Adjuster.
As a Claims Representative, your job will consist of the following :
Claims Investigation : Take calls to set up new losses; communicate with insureds to obtain the facts of loss. Determine coverages;
apply provisions of policy contracts in compliance with DOI regulations, statutory law and company guidelines. Review vehicle damages and determine rental vehicle needs.
Provide direction to first party customers; assign claims based on specified criteria.

The pay range for this position is $21.52 - $26.45 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
